Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes admitted “we have to give credit” to Coventry City after the Championship club came close to beating the ‘Red Devils’ in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday.
Coventry fought back from 3-0 down to pull level with three second-half goals at Wembley Stadium, and ‘The Sky Blues’ had a winner in the dying moments of extra-time disallowed for offside before losing the ensuing penalty shoot-out.
Having scraped past Coventry in dramatic fashion, United will look to avenge a 2-1 defeat to rivals Manchester City in last season’s FA Cup final when the two neighbours meet again at Wembley on 3rd June.
