West Ham are attempting to sign Callum O’Hare and Jacob Greaves this summer.

West Ham are searching for reinforcements in the squad and the summer transfer window is the perfect option for them to sign new players.

David Moyes has a good team with so many options but they are aspiring for more quality and stamina in the defence and the midfield. Despite of the elimination from the quarters of the Europa League by Bayer Leverkusen, they have had a good season so far.

Their last match against Liverpool proved that they are not an easy bite. West Ham scored two and had a very good performance against the Reds. But something is missing in the defensive game and the coach Moyes knows that. Today is not anymore only a defensive unit but also compactness and stability while defending.

Now, the situation is as follows for West Ham, in eighth place and out of Europe next season. This leaves place for more changes and the board knows what is the best for the team. The team needs stability and innovation in the midfield. But above all, they are seeking talent development as the options are there and the team wants to choose the best ones. With Chelsea, Luton, and City at least five points would be enough to keep the eighth place because the Newcastle of the seventh place is four points clear.

Anyway, this season will see West Ham in a place out of Europe and for that, they want new alternatives in the midfield and the defence.

Callum O’Hare transfer

Callum O’Hare has played a good season with Coventry and wants a top club to showcase his abilities. He has been part of the starting eleven for 29 games, scoring six goals in the Championship and providing three assists.

He was transferred for free at Coventry from Aston Villa academy back in 2021. Since then he has been an important part of the team and scored and provided assists. His position in the attacking as a CAM can help the striker Antonio and the wingers to produce more in the attacking manouvres. Now he can help the team in many fronts and this is already known to the team. As it stands his appearances would make quite a change in West Ham’s game.

O’ Hare is famous for his adaptivity and awareness. His quick learning will help the team understand the games better. There is a major difference between a normal player and a very good player and in this case we are speaking for a good player. His versatility can make quite a difference in West Ham games.

He is fast and thoughtful in his games and can change the game with a single pass. This makes the player a good fit for the high rhythm of the Premier League. Another big advantage is that he can try and exploit his pace and fast movements to play in the center.

Of course, the demand is higher from West Ham, but the player is aware of this big change in his career. He can also try new positions but this remains a duty of the managerial staff. In spite of the coach, the player is ready to give 100% for the team.

Jacob Greaves transfer

The story of Greaves is quite different. He can play as a right-back or as a center-back with the second position which is his natural position. He has played for three seasons with Hull City. His appearances are at high levels in the championship, scoring twice and providing four assists for the team.

His contract expires in 2026 and the difference from O’Hare is that the player cannot come to London as a free agent. So it means that the player’s price is somewhere to the amount of 25 million pounds. The player can be a milestone for the hierarchy of the West Ham defense. The competition is higher in this line and the player knows that.

He can give so much for the team starting with positioning and stamina, and a strong point to not concede. The player can be a good alternative in the heavy season ahead, in a intense schedule. Greave’s young age of only 23 years old is a guarantee of a promising talent for the team. All that remains to be decided is if West Ham will move in his direction with priority in the summer.

Hull City is currently in seventh place and the desire of the player to play in the Premier League can decide his future. The club wants to profit as much as possible from his transfer. At the same time, they will consider the option to keep the player for another season. But the Premier League is the Premier League and the player certainly will not miss the chance to play there.

David Moyes renewal

According to the Guardian, David Moyes is likely to leave at the end of the season. So the team will have to find a new manager. The list is long and it starts with Julian Lopetegui. The Spaniard is an option to replace Stefano Pioli at AC Milan and for that the club must defeat AC Milan’s competition.

Another option remains Paolo Fonseca who wants to end his adventure in France with Lille. The list can go on and on with other coaches but for the moment the favorite to take the place of Moyes is Lopetegui. Other options for the team can be Marco Silva and Graham Potter.
