Wolves had initially targeted other defensive options but turned their focus to Kristensen in the final days of the window. However, Udinese swiftly dismissed their opening bid, leaving Wolves with limited time to secure alternative solutions before the window slams shut.
Kristensen, 23, has been on the radar of multiple clubs this month due to his standout displays since joining Udinese in 2023. Meanwhile, Juventus had also explored the possibility of signing Kristensen, with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli holding discussions with the player’s representatives. However, the Italian giants opted to sign Chelsea’s Renato Veiga instead, while their pursuit of further defensive options continues.
Tottenham had also been monitoring Kristensen as they sought reinforcements at the back, while Leicester had shown interest in the Danish defender earlier in the window. Despite the growing attention, Udinese remains determined to keep hold of their defensive asset, with Kristensen under contract until the summer of 2028.
