Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Tylan Wallace has made a habit of delivering clutch plays, especially when wearing the team’s iconic purple uniforms.
Known for his big moves up the left sideline, Wallace’s love for these moments shone through in his most recent explosive play on Thursday night. In a déjà vu moment from last season, Wallace broke out with a thrilling touchdown, taking a pass from Lamar Jackson and racing 84 yards up that familiar left sideline. It reminded fans of his game-winning punt return in Week 14 last year against the Rams, once again in the Ravens’ all-purple gear.
Though Justin Tucker missed the extra point, Wallace’s touchdown brought Baltimore within a point after they had trailed by 14 earlier in the game. It set the tone for a wild final quarter, where the Ravens emerged victorious, edging out the Bengals in a dramatic 35-34 finish.
Head coach John Harbaugh was thrilled with Wallace’s performance, even awarding him a game ball. “Was that déjà vu all over again, that same sideline for a touchdown with that Tylan Wallace stride up the sideline? That was beautiful,” Harbaugh said. “He’s quite a player. I’d say he’s a little underrated.”

Lamar Jackson echoed the sentiment, calling Wallace “something else” and noting his penchant for big moments in prime time games. Jackson joked that the all-purple look might be Wallace’s “magic uniform,” acknowledging that Wallace always shows up when the stakes are high.
Wallace’s performance was record-breaking for him, as he tallied 115 yards on just three catches, marking his first 100-yard game. Prior to this, he had a modest career total of nine catches for 98 yards and no touchdowns, making Thursday night’s achievements even more impressive. Interestingly, Wallace has been particularly dominant against Cincinnati, with the majority of his career yards coming in games versus the Bengals.
His teammates were quick to praise him, with tight end Mark Andrews calling Wallace “a dawg” and a “big-time player.” Andrews remarked that Wallace often goes underappreciated but consistently steps up when needed.
Wallace’s standout moment highlighted the Ravens’ depth and their ability to draw out strong performances from every player on the roster. Even on a night when Zay Flowers was quiet and the run game struggled to surpass 100 yards, Wallace’s electrifying touchdown gave Baltimore the spark they needed to clinch a hard-fought victory.
