Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Zaniolo are involved in a betting scandal as FIGC sends home both players.

The Italian Football Federation has decided to exclude Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali and Aston Villa’s Nicolo Zaniolo following a betting scandal.

Both players are involved in this scandal and the Prosecution Office of Turin has opened an investigation following this case.

Judging from the recent events the Italian Federation decided to send home both players and released a public statement:

“Regardless of the nature of the events, considering that the two players are not in the necessary condition to face the matches scheduled for the next few days, the Federation has decided, also for their protection, to allow them to return to their respective clubs.”

The details of the investigation are not made public, but the Turin Prosecution Office is making the investigation for illegal betting with the details that will be published soon.
