Riyad Mahrez has completed a move from Manchester City to Al Ahli in Saudi Pro League, for an operation that will cost Al Ahli £32 million.
The attacker had two years left on the contract, but he chose Saudi Pro League as the next destination for his career. Mahrez will be the main man of the squad as he was one of the top strikers in Manchester. His role on the right gave Manchester so many goals and at the same time, secured his team the treble.
“To play for Manchester City has been an honor and privilege,” said Mahrez before the transfer.
“I came to City to win trophies and enjoy my football. I achieved all that and so much more.
“I’ve made a lifetime of wonderful memories. Manchester City will forever be a huge and happy part of my life.”

Manchester City lost a great player as the market in Saudi Arabia has been aggressive for the European team. At the same time, Arabia is the promised land for many European players. The first on the list was Cristiano Ronaldo. And, also the last one according to many sources will be Kylian Mbappe.
Not only Mahrez but other managers and players will also be part of the Saudi Pro League.
As for the Algerian, his City adventure was one full of titles and success. Mahrez scored 82 goals in 284 appearances in Premier League. He won the Premier League with Manchester City, but also the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup.
But let’s not forget the title with Leicester and the adventure he had there as a Vardy partner in the attack. His memorable performances made him one of the most wanted attacking midfielders in the Premier League. Now he is saying goodbye in such a style and full of glory.
