Rasmus Højlund is passing his medical tests with United, which paid £72 million for his services.

Rasmus Højlund is the newest player at Manchester United, with the Red Devils which paid £64 million plus 8 million at Atalanta for the 20-year-old services.

Højlund will be part of United as their main attacker and will play at Old Trafford for the next five years. He will be available for the team and the coach in the first matches of the Premier League. The Danish International was one of the best players for Atalanta in Serie A. Højlund played 32 matches in Italy and scored nine goals.

This time he is facing a new challenge in the Premier League and will be the main man in the tactics of the Manchester United team. Atalanta, on the other hand, signed the Almeria striker El Bilal Toure to replace Højlund.

Sky Sports England reports that this transfer fixed the main problems in the United squad. Andrei Onana is the other big signing in ten Hag’s formation.

Christian Eriksen spoke about this transfer saying that he is the right reinforcement for the team.

“What’s he like? He’s a strong number nine. He’s developed a lot in the last year from when I first saw him with the national team [to] a year’s time, so, yeah, he’s a very good player”

“Højlund is a nice guy, he’s a good player. Like I said, he’s developed, turning into just a nine, which he’s played for the national team.”

“I have to be honest I haven’t seen that many games for Atalanta, but I know how they play and he fitted in well there, so, yeah, he’s a good player.”

This is going to be a huge change for the team of ten Hag as the Dutch coach has something to start from. He will build a partnership with Rashford and find the right place for him on the pitch. But the most important is to build a legacy in the attack.

United has been the home of great attackers in the past and this time Rasmus Højlund is going to follow his steps. The only doubt is that the attacker can serve in a high-rhythm championship, with the tactics and information that are dynamic and everything is public.
