This match started with several attacks from Paris Saint Germain, who were clearly the best side in this game.
PSG had a penalty in the early minutes of the game. Kylian Mbappe had the chance to send his team ahead in the fourth minute and converted in the fourth minute defeating Anthony Lopez. PSG is on the fast track and Luis Enrique has the game in his hands. Paris attacked with three, with Mbappe and Dembele supporting Asensio.

Vitinha had a chance in the box in the 16th minute but his shot was saved by Lopez. Mbappe had another chance after taking a brilliant pass from Marquinhos, but he could not control the ball. Asensio was dropping back to create in the 20th and this game gave the desired effect.
Achraf Hakimi scored in the 21st after a pass from Dembele. Paris continued to attack and Mbappe gave a pass for Vitinha, who could not find Asensio in the zone.
The second 20 minutes of the first half…
Lyon attack with Nuamah who delivers a dangerous cross into the zone. Lyon won a corner and started to react as minute 26 passed. The effectiveness of their build-up was not the same though as Paris was sitting back and waiting. Caletta-Car initiated the attacks for Lyon, and he had his chance in the 30th minute. One minute later he had his chance but the defender shot wide.
Paris responded one minute later with Hakimi, who found the bar. The third goal was coming and Asensio finds it in the 38 minute. Ugarte passes a perfect pass and Asensio converts it into a goal in the 39th minute. Paris was a hurricane and Dembele and Mbappe combined again in the 42nd, with Mbappe delivering a shoot from outside the box, but it ended too near with the right post.
Maxence Caqueret crosses a nice ball for Sinaly Diomande gets on the end of it, and the header ends wide.
Paris Saint Germain initiated a quick counter and Mbappe scored the fourth ball in the last minute of the first half. Paris were four goals ahead and the game was closed in the first half. Lyon lost the shape and composure in the first half and they left too much space behind. The fast players of Paris were experts in making these spaces their own playgrounds and scoring with ease.
The second half starts and Lyon wants to score in order to reduce the loss.
The Lyon coach seeing the difficulties decided to replace Timo Kadewere with Mama Balde. Ernest Nuamah had a clean chance in the box, but his shoot was interrupted by Donnarumma. Kylian Mbappe found the crossbar in the 48th, but the game was stopped for offside.
PSG started the game and finished the first half. They continued to attack and in the 56th minute, Lucas Hernandez crossed the ball inside the box with Dembele finding the crossbar.
Nuamah had his chance one minute later, but Donnarumma was there to intervene. Dembele attacks the other side and Dembele shoots over the bar. Asensio tries his luck one minute later, but his shot ends wide.
Mbappe danced between the defenders in the 59th, but his run was intercepted. Paris continued to create with Marquinhos from the back. He and Skriniar were the emulators of a frightening machine. Vitinha has another chance in the 62nd. Zaire Emery has another chance one minute later, but Caletta-Car intercepts.
Lyon reacts and gets one back
Lyon responds with Ernest Nuamah who tries to make a run but his opponent blocks him. Mbappe and Dembele create on the other side, and Ousmane shoots but his effort ends wide. It was the 66th minute and both defenses were quite open. Paris tries once more to create from the back as they are the dominating team on the pitch. Mbappe was riding in the left wing and Lyon had to respond.
Their best player Ryan Cherki and Mama Balde started a dangerous action but their effort was neutralized. Ernest Nuamah has a great chance in the 71st with the ball that ends in the hands of Donnarumma. The referee reviewed this action in VAR with Zaire Emery who fouled Tagliafico. Tolisso takes the penalty and corrects his mistake in the first goal. It is minute 74 and the result is 1-4.
PSG were too fast for Lyon
Luis Enrique immediately interferes and replaces Asensio with Gonçalo Ramos and Dembele with Bradley Barcola. Ugarte was replaced also by Fabian Ruiz.
Lyon made two subs with Ryan Cherki replaced by Skelly Alvero. Jeffinho was coming on the pitch for Ernest Nuamah.
Ramos tried to concern the keeper in the 78th, but the keeper made a comfortable save.
Blank replaced Corentin Tolisso with Johann Lepenant in the 80th. The result was not in their favour and with ten minutes to go, there was not much Lyon could do to change the result.
The final part of the game was a duel of attack by both sides
Paris was all in the midfield of Lyon and the home side had nothing to do to change at least the right moment to interrupt the attacks of Paris. Hakimi presents Barkola with Lopes, but his chip goes well wide. With five minutes to go Paris had shown their supremacy. Zaire Emery leaves the pitch as Cher Ndour comes on.
Jeffinho has a good chance in the 88th, but he cannot convert as Donnarumma saves the shot. Paris throws themselves in the attack, but Lyon returns for the first time in this game to defend with two lines. Jeffinho has another chance in the last minute of the game, but his action is neutralized.
Mbappe responds on the other side, but his effort is saved in the 91st minute. Jeffinho and Mbappe return this in a one vs. one battle, with the first that shoots once more in the 92nd, but his shot is blocked. PSG has yet another chance, but cannot score as the referee closes the game. Mbappe scores a brace and PSG has a performance to be remembered.
