Orkun Kokçu spoke after the defeat with Feyenoord, his ex-club saying that Benfica is a big club in spite of the loss with Feyenoord.

Kokçu is expected to be one of the protagonists and this match against his former club is just the first step in a long season.

“Especially on a defensive level, I always felt that I knew what the opponents were going to do but, even so, it was very difficult. Feyenoord are famous for playing good football and today they showed it again. They have a great team, but for me it’s a thing of the past and I have to join Benfica as soon as possible.” 

“Honestly, Benfica is much bigger than people think, especially if we take into account the number of fans. At Benfica everything is one level ahead. People say that the Portuguese league is inferior to the Dutch, but, at European level, Benfica is really a great club.”
