Ollie Watkins signs a new contract.

His good performances and goals are rewarded and Ollie Watkins will play with Aston Villa till 2028.

His hattrick in the victory that Villa achieved last weekend was a strong motivation for Gareth Southgate to call him in the England National team.

Watkins has hit the 50 rally and it is on the fast track to hit 100 in the next few seasons. He has been determinative for Unai Emery and Villa in these two seasons and will continue to lead Villa’s attack. He can play in the center as well as a left winger and can connect two different lines with his positioning and his runs.

Watkins started his career at Exeter City in 2014 and was transferred to Brentford in 2017, after passing a year on loan to Weston Super Mare AFC. His transfer at Villa in 2020 is the biggest in his career and he will have the chance to represent England in the Euro 2024.

The market value of Ollie Watkins is £50 million and Villa has set a release clause of £100 million.

His salary is £120k per week and he is one of the most paid footballers in the league so far. Ollie Watkins must secure Villa a place in Europe and his performances will be determinative for the journey of the club in the Premier League.
