NBA Legend Tony Parker Pursuing Coaching Dreams

Former NBA star Tony Parker is determined to transition from player to coach, aiming to make his mark in the NBA coaching arena.

With an illustrious 18-year career, four NBA championships, and a place in the Hall of Fame, Parker is now setting his sights on a new challenge. Serving as the president of ASVEL since 2014, where he has overseen the development of notable talents like Guerschon Yabusele and top draft picks Victor Wembanyama and Zaccharie Risacher, Parker is ready to step into the coaching realm.

Expressing his aspiration in an interview with L’Equipe, Parker revealed his dream of coaching in the NBA. To achieve this goal, he is currently working towards obtaining key coaching qualifications, including the DESJEPS and DEPB degrees, expected to be completed by May 2026.

Recently, Parker had a hands-on experience by leading a training session for the ASVEL under-15 team, reigniting his passion for the court. This encounter reaffirmed his desire to transition from the front office to the sidelines, emphasizing his love for the game and the coaching process.
