Miami Dolphins Predicted to Finish Last in AFC East by CBS Sports Expert

CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco predicts the Dolphins will finish last in the AFC East for the 2025 season, facing regression under coach Mike McDaniel.

In his first year as head coach, McDaniel led Miami to nine wins. In the following season, they improved to 11 victories and secured a playoff spot. However, Prisco believes that instead of challenging the Bills for the division, the Dolphins will take a step back. Prisco’s prediction places Buffalo at the top, followed by New England, the Jets, and then Miami.

During an appearance on 104.3 WQAM’s “The Joe Rose Show,” Prisco stood by his assessment, despite facing backlash from Dolphins fans. He bluntly stated that Miami is likely to be the weakest team in the division for the upcoming season.

The Dolphins will strive to surpass their 8-9 record from the previous year. Under McDaniel’s guidance, the team showed progress by clinching a playoff berth after 11 wins. However, according to Prisco, this positive trajectory might come to a halt in the 2025 season.

Prisco’s commentary has sparked discussions among fans and analysts, with many questioning the potential factors that could lead to the Dolphins’ regression. As the season approaches, all eyes will be on Miami to see if they can defy Prisco’s predictions and make a strong push in the AFC East.
