The Columbus Crew have announced that midfielder Max Arfsten has signed a multi-year contract extension with the club.

The 23-year-old’s new deal keeps him with the Crew through the 2027 season, with an option for 2028.

“As we prepared for the 2023 season, we saw Max as a talented player with the potential to become a key part of our first team,” said general manager Issa Tall. “Max has truly earned this new contract with his daily hard work, his dedication to learning, and his willingness to adapt and grow, which is a core value of our club’s culture. We’re excited and confident in his continued development as a crucial player for the Crew.”
