Martin Odegaard Issues Rallying Cry as Arsenal Chase Premier League Glory

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has sent a clear warning to the Gunners’ title rivals, insisting that his side is far from out of the race despite trailing league leaders Liverpool.

With Mikel Arteta’s men sitting six points behind at the top of the table—and having played a game more—Odegaard remains confident that Arsenal can still fulfill what he describes as his ‘biggest dream’ this season.

The Gunners have come heartbreakingly close to Premier League glory in recent campaigns, finishing as runners-up in the last two seasons. This time, despite facing adversity, Odegaard believes Arsenal has another level to reach as they push for the title in the crucial months ahead. Reflecting on his own injury setbacks, the Norwegian playmaker admitted his frustration but emphasized that the team is in a strong position. “It’s been strange for me; it’s the first time I’ve properly had an injury and been out for a while. It’s something I’m not used to, so it was frustrating,” he said. “But for the team, we’re in a good position. I feel like we have another gear, another step to take, and hopefully, we can hit top form now until the end of the season.”

Odegaard drew comparisons to Arsenal’s title charge last year, pointing out how the team found its rhythm towards the business end of the campaign. “We really hit top form towards the end of last season. Hopefully, we can do that again and finish with a strong run,” he noted. With plenty of football still to be played, the Arsenal captain urged his teammates to stay focused and composed as they battle for supremacy. “When you’ve been so close, you become even hungrier and more determined to do it. Especially last year, when we were right there on the last day—you could feel how close it was. The whole squad is ready now to push for it.”

With several key fixtures ahead, Odegaard underlined the importance of keeping a level-headed approach. “We remember how last season ended—so much happened towards the final games,” he said. “There’s still a lot to play for. We just have to stay calm, focus on ourselves, do our job, and hopefully, that will be enough.” The Arsenal skipper remains laser-focused on achieving his ultimate goal: lifting the Premier League trophy. “I have been dreaming about this since I was a young kid. Winning one of the big trophies, especially the Premier League, has always been something special. This would be the biggest dream come true.”

The midfielder also addressed his personal form, admitting that his goal tally this season has not met expectations. Having scored 11 times last term and 15 the year before, Odegaard has netted just twice across all competitions so far. Determined to step up in the final stretch, he acknowledged the need for improvement. “It’s something that I haven’t been good enough with this season. I feel like I’ve been in enough situations and created a lot for others, but I haven’t been clinical enough with my finishing,” he conceded. “That’s something I really want to step up towards the end of the season.”

With Arsenal still in the hunt for Premier League glory, Odegaard’s words reflect the mentality of a team unwilling to surrender. As the campaign enters its decisive phase, the Gunners will look to find that extra gear and mount one final push for the title. Whether they can close the gap on Liverpool remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—Arsenal is not backing down from the fight.
