Manchester United lost with ten-man to a Galatasaray who performed outstandingly in Old Trafford.

Inpite the early counter by Galatasaray it was Manchester United, who struck first in Old Trafford.

They were able to score in spite of the counters they got in the first minutes of the game.

Hojlund scored in the 17th minute after an assist by Marcus Rashford and can be named the man of the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester United had the initiative, but Galatasaray had the response five minutes later.

Wilfred Zaha an ex-Premier League striker, scored the equalizer with Davinson Sanchez who provided the vertical pass for the striker.

Lucas Torreira got a yellow in the 31st for fouling Casemiro. The midfielder of United got himself a yellow for pushing Sacha Boey. The match was balanced with the two teams, which wanted to keep the result and not concede at least in the first half.

United tried to create from the back with Raphael Varane and Lindelof. They had the perfect chance with Mount who shot in the 44th, but his shot was blocked by Badakci.

Akturkoglu and Dalot had a 1v1 challenge in the 46th, with Dalot in an attempt to clear the ball finding the left hand of Akturkouglu.

Eric ten Hag replaced Hannibal Mejbri with Christian Eriksen in the second half to create more and bring fresh legs to the midfield.

Bruno Fernandez had a great chance at the entrance of the zone in the 51st minute, but his shot ended over the bar of Fernando Muslera.

Marcus Rashford left the pitch to be replaced by Alejandro Garnacho.

Kerem Akturkoglu had the ideal chance to find the equalizer in the 69th, but his shot went less than one inch wide of the left post.

The visitors equalized

However, Akturkoglu would correct his aim and score one minute later with Akturkoglu, who found the goal after defeating Onana in the right post in the 71st minute.

Antony made it in the field completing a controversial return in the pitch by replacing Mason Mount in the same minute.

Sergio Oliveira got a yellow in the 86th, after a duel with Rasmus Hojlund. Ten Hag knew he could get something from this team and decided to bring Martial for Amrabat in the 89th.

Seven minutes were added on as United had the possession, but Galatasaray had the chance with Icardi to send the match into a comfortable advantage. Boey crossed for Icardi in the 92nd, but the shot of the Argentinian striker went wide.

The match ended with Galatasaray taking three precious points and for United, they need a perfect campaign to achieve the knockout phase.
