Man Utd Unleashes ‘Animal’ Signing Under Ruben Amorim

Manchester United have landed a new signing described as “an animal.” A former United star at Carrington spoke to Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

He said the new signing will shine under coach Ruben Amorim.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS now own a 25% stake in the club. They slashed spending and cut over 200 staff. They even halted payments to the Association of Former Manchester United Players. Fans have raged over higher ticket prices and costly missteps.

Critics question some of Ratcliffe’s moves. Signings like Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee, and Manuel Ugarte have drawn mixed reviews. In contrast, fresh talent promises to reset the club’s future.

Phil Jones, now coaching at United’s academy, praises the rising stars. On Sam Allardyce’s No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, he highlighted the academy’s talent. He named Kobbie Mainoo, Chido Obi, and Amad as players set to break through.

United snapped up 17-year-old striker Chido Obi from Arsenal. He impressed at the academy by scoring 12 goals in nine U18 games. Amorim later gave him his senior debut against Spurs, where he came off the bench. The Denmark U18 international may soon see more action.

Ruben Amorim shows clear impatience with current strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. He may rely on Obi to strengthen United’s attack. The coach believes the young striker possesses elite potential despite his tender age.

Obi fits neatly into INEOS’ plan to secure top young talent. The club has also signed 19-year-old Malian midfielder Sekou Kone for the U21 squad. In addition, 17-year-old Paraguayan left-back Diego Leon will join in the summer. These moves aim to rebuild the squad’s future.

Leeds United will not pursue Hojlund, and he remains at Old Trafford. United now scout for a new centre-forward, eyeing Ipswich Town’s £40m-rated Liam Delap over Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen. Standing 6ft 2in, Obi uses his strength and pace to outmuscle defenders. He boasts excellent finishing and electric dribbling, though he must work on his link-up play.
