“RB Leipzig have developed really well in recent years and it’s another step up from my last club. I always want to improve and I want to compete at the highest level, so it didn’t take long to make my decision. It became clear that I wanted to join right from the start. RB Leipzig is a top club.”

He spoke about RB Leipzig TV and commented on his first goal in the first game for the club. The 23-year-old from Liege is enjoying his moment and expects to do better than in Ligue 1. Openda is of Moroccan origin but has chosen Belgium National Football Team to continue his career.
“To have scored directly in my first game gives me a great feeling. The first minutes out on the pitch with the team were good. It was a great moment and it only makes me want more.”
