Liverpool wants to sign Leroy Sane as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah with a club record signing of £85 million this summer.
This would be the most expensive transfer for Liverpool after they spent £80 million for Darwin Nunez. Mirror reports that with Salah who will be transferred to Saudi Arabia in January, Jurgen Klopp is in direct competition for Leroy Sane with Real Madrid.
Sane was transferred to Munich from Manchester City, for the price of £55 million and Bayern would not give away so easily one of their best midfielders back in the Premier League.
Klopp resisted the temptation to sell Salah this summer, but the transfer in Saudi Pro League can happen this transfer window. This will simply happen and considering the age of Salah, 31 years old, he barely can perform in the highest levels for two or three seasons.
So, Liverpool considers Sane as the perfect sub for Mohamed Salah and has the same characteristics. Sane has scored seven goals with Bayern this season and is in very good form. The only regret for the Reds could be the player character, who creates problems outside the pitch.
But Jurgen Klopp is used to these kinds of players and will try to keep his team under control. For the Reds, this is not enough as they are searching for quality players to replace Henderson who left for a transfer in the Saudi Pro League, and Thiago who is injured.
