Baltimore’s love for Lamar Jackson just keeps growing!
The Ravens’ star quarterback had an incredible night, completing 17 of 22 passes for 281 yards and five touchdowns, plus adding 52 rushing yards, leading his team to a 41-31 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This performance only adds to his early case for a third MVP award.
Head coach John Harbaugh couldn’t hold back his praise for Jackson, saying, “We’re just taking it one week, one game, and one play at a time, and that’s what Lamar is doing. He’s playing at such a high level. I’m proud of him, happy for him, and he’s a great leader. But we’ve got the Browns next week, and we need to stay focused, which is exactly what he’s doing.”
Jackson echoed that mindset after the game, where he led the Ravens to their fifth consecutive victory in primetime, a setting where he always seems to shine. When asked if playing on a national stage matters to him, he responded, “Nah, I’m chasing something right now. Every game is the same for me—I’m just trying to win.”

Despite a slow start where the Ravens fell behind 10-0, Jackson quickly turned things around, helping Baltimore score 34 unanswered points. He was incredibly efficient, especially against Tampa Bay’s zone defense, finishing 14-of-16 for 256 yards and three touchdowns in those situations.
Wide receiver Rashod Bateman was a big part of the Ravens’ offensive success, catching four passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns, including a beautiful 49-yard deep ball in the third quarter to extend the Ravens’ lead.
Even when the Ravens shifted to running the ball to kill the clock, Jackson wasn’t done making plays. In the fourth quarter, Derrick Henry’s 39-yard run was made possible by a block from Jackson, showing his dedication to the team effort. Though Henry didn’t make it to the end zone on that play, Jackson connected with him through the air for his fifth passing touchdown just six plays later.
Harbaugh was full of admiration for Jackson’s performance and competitiveness. “He is the ultimate competitor, no question. I’ve seen some great ones, but Lamar is right up there with the best. Maybe the greatest? We’ll see. He’s just amazing.”
Jackson’s incredible night marked the fifth time in his career he’s thrown five or more touchdowns with no interceptions, the most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2018. It was also his fifth game with a passer rating of 155 or higher, tying him with Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger for the most in league history.
Tight end Mark Andrews summed it up perfectly: “He’s the best, man. He’s MVP. He gives it his all every game, and we’re so lucky to have him.”
