Manchester United co-partner INEOS has ended Sir Alex Ferguson’s contract as part of the plan to reduce their expenses in the club.
United are preparing for major changes in the club and this movement won’t be the only one. Ferguson profited £2.2 million as a honorific ambasador for the club since 2013. But things changed and for the man who made history with Manchester United, seems to not have anymore funds left.
So there is a certain policy for years and suddenly the policy changes. The Glazer family have been there for years. They know Manchester United more than anyone else. They have ruled the team into success and difficult periods. But after Sir Alex Ferguson left, many things changes and not all the changes were for better.
The role was more than honorific, it concluded the job and the profile that Sir Alex would have in the club. He represented more than a coach for the club and was a central figure that would change things forever. His tactics revolutionized the team, creating a stable philosophy of play. He had the basis for functioning a good squad, a good team with a good team spirit.
That was until 2013 when he decided to leave football as a manager. Now the job after his retirement represents a policy in the club. They want to keep the best figures and want to continue strengthen the club with new figures. So that kind of representation brings more power to the club and motivates the fans. There is something that should be put into the discussion and that is the desire of the club, to maintain a certain policy.

As soon as the board changed and the INEOS CEO Sir Jim Radcliffe was in the club, than some changes impacted the club. Now this was up to the Glazers to have the last word and approve or disapprove this policy.
INEOS made mayor changes in the club and all this with the board approval. The real word to describe the situation is lack of consistency. At the end of the day, Sir Alex is more than happy with the board role he has. But this comes with the public impact. What people will think?
Has Manchester United enough money to keep this happening? There is something else. One generation passes the other and younger generations want to see changes. It is also true that Manchester United spent more than £150 million in the transfer window, with Zirkzee and De Light coming in.
The propper thing for the club would be to find that consistency and the winning recipe to keep things going at Manchester United. As it stands things will change with INEOS that will keep its principles and policy and with Manchester United following them blindly until something better comes. Fans are hoping so and the whole club need some changes beyond one decision or another.
