Hansi Flick has been sacked as the Germany National Team coach after the defeat to Japan.

It was inevitable as the performances especially the performance against Japan in the last friendly, gave clear signals to the German Federation that his adventure with the national team was over.

Hansi Flick will not be the head coach of Germany as he is sacked leaving the place vacant for another professional coach.

“The committees agreed that the men’s senior national team needs new impetus after the recent disappointing results. We need, in facing the European Championship, a spirit of optimism and confidence in our own country.”

“For me personally, it is one of the most difficult decisions of my time in office so far, because I appreciate Hansi Flick and his assistant coaches as football experts and people. But sporting success is the top priority for the DFB. So the decision was inevitable.”

Meanwhile, the sporting director Rudi Voller said that Hansi Flick knew that something was not right.

“Hansi Flick has worn himself out over the past few months; together with his coaching team, he has given everything to get back on track after leaving the World Cup in Qatar to make the turn for the better.

“Unfortunately, we have to realize today that it was not successful. The Japan game has clearly shown us that we can no longer make any progress in this situation.”

The new coach has the difficult duty to improve things and also create a new strategy that secures results and good performances. Germany needs some kind of expertise in order to bring their best players in positions that are more productive and at the same time perform better.

Flick had more experience in the national team, but he could not understand the new reality of the German National Team. He had to select new players and players who can offer intensity to the squad.,

But above all the new coach needs to bring a new spirit to this group. The national team is a big team and the fact that the whole championship [Bundesliga] serves this group, means that the National Team is a priority for German football.
