The candidates to win this award were Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard. Both Arsenal players had a wonderful season as well. Bukayo Saka made 135 appearances in the Premier League, scored 31 goals, won 73 matches, and lost 37 times.
While Ødegaard made 87 appearances, scored 23 goals, won 54 matches, and lost 21 times. However, these statistics did not add up because Haaland won the award with 82% of the votes. While Bukayo Saka took second place and Ødegaard was chosen third.
