FIFA is considering a 10-minute ban for the players who show dissent to the refs.

It is a decision that was discussed previously by FIFA and is expected to revolutionize the world of football.

FIFA recently announced the football in sand competition in Seychelles and they haven’t given such a preposition yet. They do not want to intervene with the intensity of the game and this is the reason that the Referee Committee has not decided on that scenario.

But as it stands this might be the future of the game and the referees will have an extra defence against the aggressive reactions of the players.

Furthermore, this would give extra authority and extra competence to the referees, who are forced to make decisions under pressure the majority of the time. Plus this would benefit an equal game, without influenced decisions.

But this is not the only change as these minutes will make the managers think differently about the game.

They would prepare the game in much more different situations. With ten to switch for the next ten minutes behind or to make more pressure up front.

So, players who show dissent to the referees might suffer a ten-minute ban and then can be returned to the play.

Without entering the details of this scenario and not making this news that was published by Times Sport speculation, all that is being said is only a formal proposition.

FIFA will decide whether to bring this into a rule in the future or not. Even for that they would need the consent of all the confederations and implement the rule simultaneously. But a ten-minute ban can cause dissent from the bench and the new rulebook should predict that also.

This could be done through another card, of a middle color to clarify things on the pitch.

This seems to be the way to implement the rule at a time when dissent is becoming normal, even against VAR.
