England wins it in Hampden Park thanks to three goals and an intense game.

This was the 160th time England and Scotland played each other and it proved that this match was more than friendly.

Scotland and England are the history of this sport, rooted deep in collective memory and shaping millions of fans’ lives.

The match started with England attacking and keeping the ball in the midfield trying to create and find spaces from behind. Trippier crossed a ball in the sixth, but the Scottish defense deflected it.

Walker pushed Tierney and Davide Massa ordered a throw-in. Things were balanced in the first ten minutes. England tried to open the spaces from the wings with Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden.

Declan Rice used the left arm in the 15th and Scotland was awarded a foul. They could not score as the ball was cleared away from England’s defense.

Rashford provides a great ball for Foden, but the Manchester City player sends the ball over the crossbar. Kane gave a ball for Rashford in the 20th, but he was offside. Three lions were advanced in the 22nd but lost the ball as McGinn won it in the midfield. This was one of the cases in the first half when Scotland managed to defend well.

They implemented the high-defensive tactic not allowing England to create and push it in the wings. England were advancing with Walker and Trippier, with the first who shot in the 24th, but it went wide.

The following 20 minutes

The tactic of high pressure was having an effect on Clarke’s side and Hickey won a foul in the 27th with Scotland who could breathe. Walker sent a cross in the 28th, with the defense of Scotland that cleared away in a corner. Foden crossed but his team once again could not make the most of it from the set pieces.

England had their first with Phil Foden who deflected a Kylie Walker diagonal and after a combination with Bellingham. Minute 33 and England lead in Glasgow.

One minute passed and England had the chance to score again. This time it was Scotland not clearing the ball.

Bellingham scores in the box with a powerful shot and defeats Gunn for the second time. England was on fire and they concretized their play with two quick goals.

Scotland responded by pushing forward and trying to create in the third part of the pitch. They needed a bit of luck to turn back in the game and at least score one goal. Adams was fouled in the 41st and the game was tense.

Scotland had some chances with set pieces and Andrew Robertson crossed in the 43rd, but his ball was cleared away. England responded with Foden, Kane, Rashford, and Bellingham in the last minute of the first half, but Foden’s cross was not useful for his friends.

The first half ended with the double advantage of the three lions.

The second half would see Scotland try a bit more ahead, but England is used with temporary pressing and knows to respond well. Gareth Southgate makes a forced sub as Maguire comes on for Guehi, with the defender who is suffering an injury.

McGinn tries in the 48th, but his shot is deflected in a corner. Gilmour shoots from the edge of the box but his attempt ends over the target. Scotland had their minutes and the support of the crowd made them more intense and more dangerous while pressing.

Maguire and Dunk created from behind to give more depth to England with the attackers pushing forward.

Kane tries in the 59th, but his attempt is ended wide.

Steve Clark made ready two replacements with Che Adams and Billy Gilmour leaving the pitch for Lyndon Dykes and Ryan Christie.

Those two subs fresh the attack of the Scottish side, bringing more intensity and stamina. Tierney crosses in the 63rd but his cross could not be useful for any of the attackers. Aaron Hickey shoots from the edge of the box, but his shot is blocked, and cannot make out of it.

Rashford makes a good run but he cannot advance as he was blocked in the 65th.

Robertson crosses in the 67th, with Harry Maguire who deflects in his own net.

Scotland could and should have scored the second with Dykes who heads an amazing ball out one minute later. Robertson crosses once more in the 71st, but the header of McGinn ends wide.

Southgate puts Saka in the game for Foden and Eze for Rashford. England changed the wingers as they provided more speed and aggression. Bellingham releases a shot in the 18-yard box but his shot is saved by Angus Gunn.

Last 15 minutes of the game

England was attacking the wings of Scotland with Tierney and Robertson defending well on the left side in the 79th minute. Saka was moving from his position, with Kane who occupied his side.

Bellingham gives a fine pass for him in the 81st and he defeats Gunn for the third time.

Southgate replaces Kane and Bellingham with Callagher and Callum in the 84 to balance things in the midfield and prevent Scotland from creating in the build-up. His tactic proved him right as England won the possession and control of the game.

Scotland made another sub with Nathan Patterson coming onto the pitch for Aaron Hickey.

The game ended with a superior England and with the Scottish side who played better in the second half.
