Donovan Mitchell and Ty Jerome each scored 26 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 122-108 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night, keeping the Cavs unbeaten at home this season and improving their record to 17-1.
Cleveland’s dominance at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse continued as they notched their 10th straight home win, marking their best home start since the 2017-18 season, when they opened with 13 consecutive victories. Jarrett Allen added 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Evan Mobley contributed a double-double of his own with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
For Toronto, Scottie Barnes and Gradey Dick scored 18 points apiece, but the Raptors’ road woes persisted as they fell to 0-8 away from home. RJ Barrett chipped in 16 points in his second game back after missing 11 straight due to a fractured orbital bone, and Jakob Poeltl grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds in a gritty effort.
Ty Jerome’s continued breakout has been a revelation for the Cavs. After scoring a career-high 29 points in Cleveland’s previous game, the 27-year-old delivered another stellar performance, solidifying his role as a key contributor after missing nearly all of last season with an ankle injury.

The Raptors showed flashes of competitive play, hanging within six points heading into the fourth quarter. However, Cleveland’s star power and execution proved too much down the stretch. Mitchell scored seven straight points early in the final period, and Jerome nailed a crucial three-pointer to ignite a 10-1 run, extending the Cavs’ lead and putting the game out of reach.
Toronto’s struggles stemmed from inconsistent execution despite strong individual performances. Gradey Dick was forced to leave in the second half with a sore left calf, further hampering the Raptors’ ability to mount a comeback.
Meanwhile, Cleveland benefited from a few days of rest but showed some rust early on. Sluggish stretches allowed Toronto to stay within striking distance, but the Cavaliers eventually found their rhythm and asserted control.
Jarrett Allen continued his efficient play, finishing with a dominant 11-for-14 shooting night. Allen, who ranks second in the league in field goal percentage (.685), remains a critical piece of Cleveland’s inside-out game alongside Mobley.
The win not only keeps the Cavaliers unbeaten at home but also solidifies their status as one of the league’s top teams this season. After a 15-0 start, their only loss came in Boston, but they’ve since rebounded with two strong wins.
Toronto’s road record, on the other hand, highlights their ongoing challenges. Despite their effort, the Raptors’ lack of consistency and execution, particularly in crunch moments, has left them winless away from Scotiabank Arena.
Up next, Toronto continues its road trip with a stop in Detroit on Monday, where they’ll look to secure their first road victory. Cleveland, meanwhile, will host Atlanta on Wednesday, aiming to extend their perfect home streak and maintain their spot atop the Eastern Conference standings.
Sunday’s game demonstrated the Cavaliers’ ability to shift gears when needed, led by Mitchell’s scoring and Jerome’s emergence as a surprising spark. For the Raptors, it was another reminder of the work needed to turn effort into wins.
