Chelsea is keen on transferring Moises Caicedo, one of the most productive players in the Premier League from Brighton and Hove Albion, as they are willing to pay 55 million £ for the 21-year-old.
The youngster from Ecuador is one of the shining stars in the Premier League and according to many sources will be a blue next season. He has scored two goals in the Premier League in 45 games, and two assists. But his dynamics and agility make him an ideal name for Enzo Fernandez’s partner in the midfield.
Pochetino about the midfield
The coach Mauricio Pochetino has said his words about the midfield, praising the youngsters Cesare Casadei and Andrey Santos.
“The profile is very good, the two names and Carney also, and of course Casadei and Andrey. They have the profile. Only they need time. They are young. We cannot forget we are in Chelsea, the pressure is always to win. They need to have the place, to have time to evolve but yes the profile is good.”
But the coach left the door open for new transfers as he said that will decide on the midfield when they get back to London.
“We will see what happens in the next few weeks,” Pochettino also said about the squad’s youth. “When we come back to England we will decide the future of these young players who maybe have a future here or sometimes can maybe be part of the squad.”
At the same time, Behdad Eghbali was present in North Carolina together with the sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Steward. They will decide on the next bid for the young midfielder as they plan other changes on the squad.
The good, acceptable offer for Brighton to consider would be around 70 million £ to 80 million £. But Chelsea is trying to close the deal with around 60 million. And the price that Chelsea offers is reasonable. With Liverpool and other teams left out of the equation, now it remains for the Blues to decide. Therefore, Chelsea need to convince Brighton, as the player is willing to join them.
