Cauê dos Santos said in an interview for Gazeta Esportiva that he wants to be part of the first Benfica.
He came in Portugal from the Belgian Team of Lommel SK and has done amazing appearances for the second team of Benfica. In his first three games he has scored two and gave one assists. So far so good with the attacker who promises more for the future.
“The adaptation has been good, I was very well received. Portugal is a country practically the same as Brazil, the weather is similar. In Belgium it was very cold… Being Brazilian, it’s important to be at a club where so many Brazilian players have played and who are idols and I want to leave my legacy here.
“My biggest goal is to reach the main team. Now I’m focused on the B team, but I want, one day, to be able to play in the Champions League and score goals in the first team”, said the striker, who also has the ‘canarinha’ in his sights.”
“If I do a good job at Benfica, if I score goals, I will be watched more. Of course this is a dream, a goal, but I want to take it one step at a time so that when I get there, I’ll be prepared.”
He will have his chances but for the moment the first team is still far away with the player who need further improvement.
