Carlos Alcaraz says after his defeat that bad moments can happen even when you feel mature.

The World No. 1 in the ATP Ranking left this tournament at the semis, but his performances are at extreme levels and he will continue to show himself at big games.

Alcaraz was asked for the first time about losing his temper and how he will manage to keep control in the future. He is without any doubt the best of his generation and these matches serve as a lesson for the next tournaments.

“I think I said the most pretty well, it was a closed match, first set. In the tie break, after three holding tie breaks, let’s say I lose my mind. I make three or four points without control. I didn’t think he was… I lost my mind on that set, fighting for 50 minutes and then four points, losing my mind a little bit.”

“It was tough for me to handle it in the second set. I didn’t come back, I was almost on the moon. For me it was tough and obviously, Daniil was playing great, so it was tough for me to come back to the match and play a great game again.”

He also commented on the moment when he threw the rocket on the floor and the impact of that moment on his game. Alcaraz played a great game, but the pressure and the tension did not allow him to be at his best in this match.

Also had a lot to say about some particular moments that changed his overall game and the way he behaved on the court. Alcaraz has more to offer for the fans and he will prepare himself for the next tournaments.

As for this game in terms of performance, he was playing at a high level and he did not forget to mention that bad moments can happen even if he feels more mature.

“This kind of match can happen, even if I feel more mature. He played great, a great game I couldn’t find solutions on the match and I thought that right now I’m a better player to find solutions when the match is not going in the right direction. But after this match I gonna change my mind…”-says Alcaraz.
