Alexander Bah did not finish his game against Inter and the injury he had in this UEFA Champions League game is the second after the one he had with the Danish National Team.
The alternative to Bah for this transfer window is Olivier Villadsen of Nordsjealland and Benfica could profit from the good relations they had to bring the defender in Da Luz.
Villadsen is ready for the transfer and has expressed his wish publicly to be part of another club.
“Of course I’m flattered. It’s always important to be associated with a big club. But I can’t say much about that. Right now I’m focused on playing as well as possible in the league, the Cup, and the Conference League. Then we’ll look at the next transfer window. Now is the time to play football and not think about Benfica or transfer issues. I’ve been feeling ready [to leave] for a long time,” Villadsen said recently for the Danish newspaper Bold.
Rui Pedro Bras the sporting director of Benfica, will profit from the previous transfer of Andreas Scheldurp, the left winger who is on loan from the Portuguese club in Nordsjealland, to bring Villadsen in January.
