Arteta speaks before Tottenham’s clash: A new challenge and a new opportunity.”

The Arsenal coach spoke about the new contract of Martin Odegaard, the injuries in his team, and also for Aaron Ramsdale’s case.

He mentioned the fact that his teams need a full squad and they need quality players and Martin Odegaard is one of them.

“Great news for the club, great news for the team. Happy for him as well. He fully deserved that. It shows as well that there are many ways to make it. There are many pathways to arrive where you want and in the end is about finding a place where you feel comfortable, where you feel valued, and where you can express your talent.”

The coach spoke also about the injury updates and how the team waits for this London Derby.

“With Gary [Martinelli] we are still assessing him, so let’s see if he can make the game or not. Thomas [Partey], for sure is out and the rest is hopefully available. We have still two training sessions, but there were no big issues in the middle week.”

Regarding Aaron Ramsdale’s moment, he had this response.

“I suffer and I care about every player that is not playing, but this is the competition and this is my job as well to make decisions in the best possible way for the team.”

This match against Tottenham is the second important test Arsenal in these first weeks and the Gunners won’t miss the chance

“A new challenge and a new opportunity. Obviously, they have a new manager that has done really really well and I think he has changed the pipe and everything around the club and a different style as well. So we adapt, be ourselves, and produce the performance that we need to beat them.”

Arteta had a couple of words for Ange Postecoglou saying that it is not a coincidence that his colleagues speak with superlatives about his work.

“You can tell us right away the way he’s fitting in the right way, so that’s the beauty of this league that we have top managers, top competition, and every game is very difficult.”-said Arteta about his colleague at Tottenham
