In a thrilling race, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur lock horns to secure Brazilian midfield prodigy Breno Bidon.
Both clubs intensify their pursuit of the rising star from Corinthians.
Breno Bidon, a 20-year-old central midfielder, dazzles in the No 6, No 8, and No 10 roles. He joined Corinthians’ academy in 2019 and earned his senior debut in March last year.
He has clocked 45 first-team appearances with Corinthians. His dynamic performances caught the eye of top European clubs. When Bayern Munich showed interest, Corinthians set his release clause at R$100million (£13.8m/€16.7m).
Brazilian outlet Bolavip reported that Arsenal and Tottenham now vie for his signature. Arsenal made contact with Corinthians earlier this year regarding the Brazil U20 international.

Interim Arsenal sporting director Jason Ayto plans to make an offer for Bidon this summer. Tottenham, under Ange Postecoglou, prepare their own proposal. A deal worth around €15m (£12.4m) is already on the table.
The race for Bidon heats up as he nears a move to England. Both clubs aim to secure his signature before the transfer window closes.
Meanwhile, Arsenal targets midfield reinforcements. Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi tops their list. Mikel Arteta seeks to move on from Thomas Partey and Jorginho. Bidon could serve as a strong understudy if Zubimendi joins the Emirates.
Arsenal might draw inspiration from Gabriel Martinelli. The winger joined from Ituano at 18 and blossomed under Arteta’s guidance. Recent reports hint at potential talks with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong and Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, who has netted 12 goals this term.
