Anthony Martial and Memphis Depay will continue their careers as footballers in Brazil, with two of the best clubs in Seria A.
Anthony Martial will join Flamengo, on a two-year deal and according to the most famous transfer reporters, this contract happens as a result of persistence by the agent of the player. Martial, 28 years old, failed to show his best at Manchester United and the Red Devils left him free after his contract expired.
There are some factors that are behind this situation and some good reasons. The player is a pure winger and with high competition with other stars like Garnacho and Rashford, everything is more difficult. His play is not more efficient and this is the main factor. Another good reason is that his composure and beyond that the context of his journey in Manchester made this conclusion logical.
England is a place of tradition and superstition and this was probably not Martial’s chance to continue and show his value. But beyond some superficial judgment, the player wants a new chance, a new opportunity, and some motivation to continue forward.

He left United as a free agent after spending one year on loan in Spain, to Sevilla. Flamengo needs his services and Brazil is the perfect environment to start fresh and create a new chapter, this time far from Europe.
On the other side, Memphis Depay will join Corinthians in a two-year deal after departing ways with Atletico de Madrid. In fact, Depay had some good seasons in Madrid and nobody cannot say different. He has done well in all his clubs PSV, Manchester United, Lyon, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid.
Depay is now 30 years old and he may hope to continue in Europe, but nevertheless Brazil is a great destination to continue his career. Corinthians is a great club with a great history and the player is happy to have such a chance in another league.
The coach Ramon Angel Diaz makes his calculations with Depay on the team and how he can contribute in the team. Corinthians wants to make things happen in Seria A and the player will have his own responsibilities on the club and his contribution will improve Corinthians in general.
Both players could and maybe should have stayed in Europe, but these transfers testify that the market is global and we may see more of this in the future.
