Arsenal transfers roar into the spotlight as Mikel Arteta receives a huge boost. The club may secure a double striker signing in a potential £106.6m deal.
The Gunners target Benjamin Sesko and Ollie Watkins to strengthen their attacking force.
Arsenal identified a natural number nine as a priority. The Gunners made a late move for Watkins in January, but Aston Villa rejected the bid. Gabriel Jesus failed to score enough goals when fit, and Kai Havertz is no natural striker.
Teamtalk’s correspondent Ben Jacobs reported that Arsenal enquired about Sesko in January. The Gunners approached RB Leipzig for the 21-year-old Slovenian striker. Leipzig informed Arsenal that Sesko was unavailable, so the club did not bid.
Arsenal will likely return for Sesko this summer. The striker is open to joining the Emirates and reinvigorating the attack. Journalist Steve Kay revealed that the youngster prefers Arsenal despite interest from other clubs.

Football Transfers reported that Sesko’s release clause currently stands at €70m (£58.2m, $74.8m). It may rise to €80m (£66.6m, $85.5m) before season’s end if his performances improve. Arsenal must act swiftly if they wish to secure his signature.
Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins has made his mark in the Premier League. The 29-year-old England international boasts 71 goals and 32 assists in 174 appearances. Arsenal placed a bid of £40m for Watkins, limited by PSR restrictions.
Roy Keane delivered a brutal verdict on Watkins after his missed chance against Cardiff City in the FA Cup. Keane acknowledged Watkins as a real threat but questioned his ability to excel at bigger clubs. He bluntly noted that Watkins might have reached his peak at Villa.
Arsenal also eyed Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman this summer. Mikel Arteta remains secure as Arsenal will not sack him, even without a major trophy. The club edges closer to appointing Andrea Berta as sporting director, following Edu’s departure.
