Arsenal are set to make a massive move this summer by targeting RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
According to recent reports from Spain, the Gunners plan to outbid Barcelona with a bid of approximately £83m. Additionally, Italian media have revealed that Arsenal are monitoring three other promising forwards.
The 21-year-old RB Leipzig star has proven himself as one of Europe’s finest forwards. He has scored 15 goals and provided 4 assists in 31 matches across all competitions. During the 2023‑24 campaign, he netted 18 times and added 2 assists in 42 appearances. Moreover, his outstanding performances have attracted widespread attention.
In terms of style, Sesko draws comparisons with Erling Haaland. He boasts impressive speed, aerial prowess, and versatility with both feet. Furthermore, he displays top‑notch technique that mirrors the Norwegian star’s abilities.
When asked about the comparisons to Haaland, Sesko responded enthusiastically:
“Such comparisons motivate me and give me energy. They do not represent pressure. I will listen and learn so I can be even better than he is. My teammates at the club tell me that Haaland and I are very similar, especially in terms of speed. Most of them even tell me that I’m better than him!”
TEAMtalk’s transfer correspondent Ben Jacobs recently revealed that Arsenal aimed to sign Sesko during the January transfer window. However, RB Leipzig officials rejected the approach, stating that Sesko is not for sale. Consequently, sources indicate that the Gunners plan to pursue him again in the summer.

El Nacional now reports that Arsenal have decided to make a €100m bid (around £83.3m/$105m) for Sesko. They have set their sights on Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, and Wolves forward Matheus Cunha. Notably, Juventus expects a fee of €40m (approximately £33.3m/$42m) for the Serbian international.
In addition, there are reports that Arsenal are interested in Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui. The 25‑year‑old Italian has scored 20 goals and provided 3 assists in 19 Serie A starts, along with 3 goals in 7 Champions League appearances. Furthermore, the Gunners have received news of Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, who has signaled his summer move to Arsenal. Additionally, the club has been linked with former Tottenham star Harry Kane from Bayern Munich. His £54m release clause will come into effect in January 2026.
