OGC Nice has been battling an ongoing injury crisis this season, and unfortunately, the international break hasn’t provided much relief.
Injuries have become a defining theme for the team, starting with key players sidelined before the campaign even kicked off. Terem Moffi, one of their star forwards, is likely to miss the entire season due to an ACL injury sustained in pre-season, while midfielder Morgan Sanson, who was injured before the start as well, is still yet to make an appearance.

The injury woes didn’t stop there. In their last match before the break against Paris Saint-Germain, both Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Ali Abdi had to leave the field early—Ndayishimiye initially due to a hamstring issue, which has now turned into a back problem, and Abdi with an ankle injury. Unfortunately, neither will be fit to face FC Nantes this Sunday, and Mohamed-Ali Cho is also a doubt for the match at La Beaujoire. Melvin Bard (knee) and Tanguy Ndombélé (hip) are both confirmed absentees, further thinning the squad’s options.
Amid all these setbacks, there is a glimmer of hope for Nice. After a two-month absence due to a fractured metatarsal, Gaetan Laborde is set to make his return to the lineup. Laborde’s comeback is a much-needed boost for the team as they look to stay competitive despite the mounting challenges. While Nice continues to deal with a lengthy injury list, the return of Laborde offers some optimism as they face the next phase of the season.
