Spain defender Dani Vivian believes that although England have not been “playing in a very fluid way” at Euro 2024, the ‘Three Lions” dangerous attack will still be capable of creating “sparks” in Sunday’s final at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.
‘La Roja’ came from behind to beat France 2-1 in Tuesday’s first semi-final – 16-year-old Lamine Yamal pulling his side level with a wonder goal – and reached the final for a third time in five European Championships.
England also conceded the opening goal in their semi against Netherlands on Wednesday, but a penalty from captain Harry Kane and a dramatic late winner from substitute Ollie Watkins took ‘The Three Lions’ into a second successive Euro final.
Spain, who lost to eventual champions Italy in the Euro 2020 semi-finals, were first crowned European champions in 1964 before making it a hat-trick of titles with wins in 2008 and 2012.
