Rotherham United will be aiming to extend their unbeaten streak to five games and continue their rise up the League One table as they host Wrexham at the New York Stadium on Saturday.

The Millers just missed out on a third consecutive win last weekend in a 3-3 draw away at Peterborough United. Meanwhile, their visitors, Wrexham, return from the international break sitting comfortably in second place.

Rotherham have been on an upward trajectory in recent weeks, turning things around after a tough start to the season. Following their relegation from the Championship, the South Yorkshire side began the campaign with a rocky patch, picking up only seven points from their first eight matches. A 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town marked the beginning of a more positive run for the Millers. Since then, they’ve picked up back-to-back victories, including a last-minute 1-0 win over Cambridge United thanks to Sam Nombe’s goal and a 2-1 triumph over Reading with goals from Nombe and Hakeem Odoffin.

Last weekend, Rotherham seemed set for another win, leading Peterborough 3-1 at halftime, but a late equalizer meant they had to settle for a draw. Now, with their confidence building, Steve Evans’ men will be looking to secure a win at home and extend their unbeaten run to five games, with three victories in the mix.

However, they’ll face a challenging test against Wrexham, who are also in strong form and aiming to secure their place in the automatic promotion spots.

Wrexham, fresh off two consecutive promotions, have made an impressive start to their League One campaign. Sitting in second place with 20 points from 10 matches, they’ve built momentum with four wins and a draw in their first five games. Although they stumbled with losses to Birmingham City and Stevenage, they bounced back in their most recent match, a 4-1 victory over Northampton Town. Goals from James McClean, Jack Marriott, and Elliott Lee sealed the dominant win before the international break.

Returning to action just two points behind league leaders Birmingham City, Wrexham will look to keep their impressive form going and aim for another big win on Saturday.

Lincoln City and Birmingham City are set to face off for the first time in a league fixture since 1954, as they clash at the LNER Stadium this Saturday in League One. Both teams are chasing promotion, so it’s bound to be an exciting matchup!

Despite the loss, they still sit comfortably at the top of the League One table, with a two-point cushion over second-placed Wrexham and newly-promoted Mansfield Town in third.

While Birmingham made waves in the summer transfer window by splashing out on new signings, their recent focus has been on securing contract extensions for key players like Ethan Laird, Paik Seung-ho, and Keshi Anderson.
